Ligeia

Ligeia

Born before the Common Era, nobody knows her true age.
Being the only raven-haired witch, she is known as the "Black Witch."
Of the six sects in witchcraft, the "Machina" sect was founded by her and she still reins to be the greatest of the Machinas.
Also a founding member of the Walpurgis Assembly, a gathering of the masters of each sect, from which she has already resigned.

Having lived and worked for such a long time, she is very self-assured, causing her to act a bit arrogant, although she tends to be relatively sympathetic to human beings.
On the other hand, she is also rather tolerant of impertinence, up to a certain point at which she becomes unforgiving.
Has a habit of collecting things, as many witches tend to do.

Suddenly wakes up in the body of Madeline, as a result of having the Black Witchcraft "Rebirth" performed on her by the Raven Demon.
Persuaded by an upfront compensation in the form of acquiring the Raven Demon's power, she overcomes her discontent for suddenly being woken up in a feeble body and heads over to the House of Usher accompanied by Durahan.

Durahan

Durahan

Normally takes on the form of a briefcase, but is capable of transforming into countless forms of weapons.

Annabel

The House of Lee, unlike most witch hunters, does not directly battle against witches, but develops the technology for combating witches.
Annabel herself was in charge of administering Lenore's seal at the House of Usher.

Being reserved and sincere, she has gained great trust from the Usher family, entrusted with the secret of their witch hunting.

Madeline

Madeline

Sister of Roderick, the head of the witch hunter House of Usher.

Don't let her noble and aristocratic looks fool you, as the successor to a House of body-modified witch hunters dedicated to combating witches, she possesses more strength than meets the eye, having received combat training, although she lacks in experience of actual warfare.

Having lost her parents at a young age, she naturally had a close relationship with her brother Roderick despite the age gap.
Has been worried about Roderick since he began to change three years ago.

Became determined to work as a witch hunter about a year ago, but was not permitted to do so by Roderick, who not even allowed her to train.
That is when she began to feel suspicious and started to investigate her brother.
As Roderick, and his collaborator Marie Roget, soon found out, she was locked up in the underground dungeon to be used as a sacrifice for the resurrection of Lenore.
She luckily ran into the Raven secretly guarding the seal, who helps her escape.
It is with this Raven that she goes to visit Ligeia.
